The Learning Partnership "Financial Literacy"
The predecessor of the current multilateral project "Financial Literacy Competencies for Adult Learners" was a Grundtvig Learning Partnership "Financial Literacy" (2008 - 2010). Its objective was to raise the awareness of teachers and counsellors about the importance of understanding money matters and financial management of one’s own, to convey this knowledge to their learners and to empower them in the management of financial matters.
The Learning Partnership established a cooperation of different kind of education providers, and developed this website as a concept for introducing financial literacy as a horizontal theme into vocational adult education.
The partners were
ECC Association for interdisciplinary Education and Counselling, Austria
ISCAP Instituto Superior de Contabilidade e Administracao do Porto, Portugal
IAL CISL Piemonte (Institute for workers education), Italy
The Learning partnership comprised also an associated partner: L4L Teaching/Learning Organisation, Czech Republic
Because of the interest that we met from adult education providers, debt counselling organisations and also because of the increasing financial crisis in Europe, we decided to apply for a multilateral project under the GRUNDTVIG programme, with the Portuguese partner ISCAP as project promoter. The application was successful and in autumn 2010, this new project started.
This website contains therefore the results of the Learning Partnership and of the multilateral project
